"Algo ajeno" Music Video

Franja de Gaza is an alternative rock-pop band from Chile that has dubbed itself Galactic Rock. Since their formation in 2014, they have released an EP, El Viaje (2014), and an LP, Despegue (2017). The latter features the song "Algo ajeno", which inspired the creation of the music video.

The technique used is rotoscoping, which consists of drawing frame by frame on top of the video. The video was filmed with the band's support and found footage was used for certain scenes where the image was made solely from drawings.

The music video started as a class assignment, but evolved into something else. We collaborated directly with the band to create a high-quality audiovisual product that satisfied both parties. My collaborators were Vicente Zúñiga, Camila Ríos and Renata Ibáñez.
